Right now my 1.5 year old is into everything! Most gates he either breaks or climbs. This gate he can't climb! I am one happy mommy over that factor! It always scared me him climbing gates.
You can unlock the gate very easily as well! With past gates I would have to step over the gate, because I could never unlock them. This one is awesome! You can either step on the foot pedal, or on the top of the gate pull in the piece and push up. Either way is pretty simple. I really like just being able to step on the foot pedal. Plus my son doesn't have enough force to step down on it yet.
Another feature I like is the the gate swings both ways, and automatically shuts behind you! Awesome, especially when you have a little toddler hanging onto you at all times.
Now I didn't need to because my doorways are smaller, but this gate has extending pieces. You can expand it a little bit, or a lot. Which that is really nice, because I know some people have pretty big doorways. I know some gates don't extend like this.
Now even though I love this gate, my son does not. He was NOT happy when he tried to climb it and realized there was no place he could put his foot to get a boost up. ;)
I really think everyone should consider purchasing one of these gates, I am even thinking of buying another one!
